CASE REPORT

This case was part of a series conducted at the Istituto Stomatologico Toscano, Versilia Hospital, Lido di Camaiore (LU) in the clinical program of the Master’s Degree in “Computer-Aided Implant Surgery” of the G. Marconi University of Rome. Female patient, Caucasian, 65 years of age, in good health, non-smoker.
Presented with clinical and radiographic outcomes of advanced generalized periodontal disease with grade 2 and 3 mobility in the upper maxillary dental elements, with a PPD survey ranging from 5 to 11 mm.
Patient preparation involved oral hygiene sessions to reduce inflammatory gingivitis. By means of a diagnostic wax-up of the case, a total avulsion of the arch was planned with the simultaneous insertion of seven Outlink2 Sweden & Martina implants immediately loaded with preformed and composite bar reinforced polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) prostheses.

Surgery was performed with a flapless approach using an Evoguide (3Diemme) surgical guide with mucous support and the Echo Plan [Sweden & Martina] surgical kit, following the steps of the surgical manual. See table 1 for details of the implant measurements and their positioning.
The prosthesis was made preoperatively following the design of the diagnostic wax-up. Prosthesis stabilization was obtained by means of intraoral glue, using the surgical guide fixing pins, which allowed a perfect passive fit of the structure with respect to the surgical design.

We thank Mr. Pier Luca Mori of Laboratorio Erea snc, Camaiore (LU) for finalization of the immediate prosthesis.
